What types of commercial flooring do you install?

We install rubber, broadloom carpet, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, luxury vinyl plank, luxury vinyl tile, vinyl composition tile (VCT,) Electro Static Dissipative flooring (ESD), and Ceramic Tile.

Can you pour self leveling cement compounds in North Dakota?

At LaValle Flooring, we are experienced pouring all sorts of self leveling compounds for all sorts of applications. We can pour over wood, concrete, steel, and other surfaces. We pride ourselves in our knowledge to recommend the right self leveler for the project at hands. Self Leveler brands we trust include Uzin and Ardex. We understand that due to the wide temperature range  we have in North Dakota, extra care must be taken to ensure the self leveling work can withstand temperature and moisture levels that may be wildly different than present during the installation.

What areas do you service for commercial flooring installation?

We provide installation on products we provide in the areas of North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota. Most of our work is in North Dakota and Minnesota communities within 60 miles of Fargo, North Dakota. Factors we consider for commercial flooring include, project size, flooring types, job site access (parking, delivery of flooring, elevator access, forklift, etc) and how soon the work needs to be done once it’s commenced. We’ve done work in Minot, Fargo, Jamestown, Minneapolis installing all types of flooring, such as VCT, Carpet Tile, Sheet Vinyl, etc.

Can you mitigate high relative humidity (RH) before installing your own flooring?

We have a wide variety of primers and moisture vapor emissions retarders (MVERs) products available from manufacturers such as Uzin and Ardex. We also have the experience in applying these products in addition to having the grinders and vacuums that are often necessary to prepare the subfloor to receive these products. One of the most common products we use is Uzin PE 460, which is used to prepare floors that have RH readings as high as 100%. By having the equipment and products, we can reduce the turn around time for your project by not requiring a separate company being needed to mitigate your high RH or PH.

Do you heat weld sheet vinyl or rubber flooring in North Dakota?

We are especially proud of our heat welding services and believe we’re one of the best flooring companies in North AND South Dakota, in addition to North West Minnesota, to provide heat welding services. Often, new commercial projects are rushed and no one communicates that most heat welding requires a 24 – 48 hour window after the sheet vinyl has been installed before the heat welding can take place. In addition, too often, inexperienced installers are cutting their grooves between sheets too deep. This results in welds falling apart before too long. We’re happy to report that our welds have held up in some of the more extreme environments, such as an oil workers camp in Williston, ND in a dish washing pit in a modular building that has a crawl space underneath.

Do you test concrete slabs for high moisture before floor installation in North Dakota?

Yes, moisture testing is important before installing any floor covering. This is especially true in North Dakota due to the variations in temperature and moisture throughout the year. The two tests we preform are the Calcium Chloride and In Situ RH Probe testing that conforms to ASTM F1869.

Can you pass a background check to do install flooring on Military or Federal installations?

Yes, we have subcontractors and employees that can get on military and federal installations to install floor coverings. For these types of projects, we typically use employees as it makes payroll reporting simpler and allows us to be more flexible in how we organize our jobsites. We’ve done work on Grand Forks Air Force Base, Minot Air Force Base, and federal locations such as the FDA in Fargo, North Dakota.
