Creating a Custom Logo Inlay
We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the opening of the new Mobility PLUS location right here in Valley City! Being chosen to help bring their new space to life was an honor, and while our team handled the comprehensive flooring and finish work throughout the building, there was one standout feature we couldn’t wait to share: a custom, hand-crafted logo inlay right in their main lobby.
Leading Up To the Installation
A custom inlay requires precision, patience, and the right chemistry. Because this logo sits directly in the main entryway, it needed to look flawless and withstand heavy, everyday foot traffic.
Before we ever touched the floor at the new location, our team spent a weekend mapping out the design and running a full “rough draft” practice build. During this phase, we:
- Color-Matched the Brand: We meticulously sorted through samples to nail down the exact, vibrant tones of blue required for the Mobility PLUS branding.
- Selected Heavy-Duty Products: We sourced specialized commercial adhesives and high-performance sealers capable of anchoring the intricate cuts and enduring years of lobby traffic.
The Products & Installation
To achieve the perfect balance of modern design and commercial durability, we utilized top-tier products from trusted industry leaders:
Philadelphia Commercial Novara LVT (Terrazzo Interface)
- Provides a sleek, contemporary, and durable backdrop that makes the logo pop.
Mohawk Commercial LVT (Custom Blue Tones)
- Delivers the rich, exact brand colors needed for the logo geometry.
Thanks to our weekend practice run, the on-site installation went beautifully. Our installers mapped the grid, hand-cut the Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) to match the geometry of the logo, and seamlessly integrated it into the surrounding terrazzo-look flooring.
The Result
A clean, flush, and incredibly durable branded entrance that greets every customer the moment they walk through the door.
