- What are typical work days, work hours? Typical work days are Monday to Friday, with flexibility for both full time and part time work.
- Is travel required? Sometimes we travel to customers homes to take more photos or take video. Other times we need to pick up marketing material and drop it off at key locations. You will be reimbursed for travel expenses.Â
- Do interns get benefits? If an intern completes their 60 day/ 500 hr internship (whichever comes first), they will be eligible for benefits and full time employment. Otherwise, only Cell Phone Reimbursement and Paid Holidays in addition to hourly pay.Â
- How often would I get paid? You”ll get paid every two weeks via direct deposit.Â
- What type of marketing does LaValle Flooring do? We advertise in large publications such as Fargo Monthly, Trendsetters, or Future Farmer. We also use radio, newspapers, and billboards strategically.Â
- Do I need to interact with people? YES! It’s important to be able to view things from your target’s point of view and ensure your marketing efforts are being effective. It’s okay to be shy, but human interaction will occur often.Â
- What duties will I have as an intern?  We publish our own magazine four times per year, we record videos for youtube and tik tok/ insta, we publish in small community publications, update our own website, update social media on a regular basis for our three locations. You’ll get to do a bit of everything and see how it all comes together and how it helps generate real sales.

- Must have a clean record
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
What are the job duties?Â
- Assist with Quarterly Magazine We are proud to create our own quarterly publication with some outside help. You’ll gather photos, update puzzles, and request input from our sales and management staff.
- Update social media with casual posts about jobs we did, events we’re hosting, charity we performed, job postings, memes, etc. Typically once a week per Store Location.
- Request Blog Content remind management to help write blog content for SEO purposes
- Check Website performance our website is key to paid digital and social media marketing, you’ll check to make sure there are no bugs for on the important pages.
- Network with other businesses you’ll be able to attend networking events and get paid to interact with other businesses. Sometimes there are group marketing efforts we can pursue.
- Update displays and signage we need to update displays, pricing lists, and other in store materials
- Deliver magazines and print media we deliver magazines that have our ads to smaller communities outside of Fargo.
- Remind staff to get reviews Reviews are important for SEO and passive marketing, you’ll make sure all three locations are getting reviews on a regular basis.
- Assist clients Sometimes our sales staff needs to step out, we can’t close the office so you’ll keep an eye on the store and assist clients. Don’t worry, we have written material for you to hand out!Â
