Prepping the Stairs for Installation
Before laying down any new material, proper prep is essential. We start by ensuring a clean, smooth, and solid base across every step. Next, a high-quality carpet pad is installed on the treads to provide comfortable plushness right where your feet land most.

Tread & Nose: We installed Dreamweaver Surfside in Castleberry across the treads and nose. This low-profile carpet minimizes wear and compaction in high-traffic areas, while its subtle pattern conveniently helps conceal everyday scuffs and spots.
Riser: For the risers, Southwind Harbor Plank in Brazilian Cherry was chosen. As a Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) flooring, it provides superior noise reduction, durability, and a clean wood-grain look that pops against the carpeted steps.
